SAP Training: Understanding SAP Windows
The work area is the part of the screen where you enter data. To enter data, you type information directly into entry fields.

In some cases, in addition to entering data, you will need to choose options using different graphical elements.

Entry fields let you type data. Check boxes let you choose a number of options from a limited set. Radio buttons let you choose only one option from a limited set. Buttons directly trigger a function. If you see a dotted box around the words on a button, it means that the button has been selected. Group boxes group together a related set of control elements.
The status bar at the bottom of the screen displays: Application Toolbar Contains the current menus. Menus that appear in the menu bar change depending on which application and transaction you are using.

Contains icons to help you navigate through and complete
SAP R/3 screens.
